David Holt is the State Senator representing the 30th District of Oklahoma, which includes portions of Northwest Oklahoma City, Bethany, Warr Acres and The Village. Senator Holt was overwhelmingly elected in 2010 with 63 percent of the vote in the Republican primary, and was unopposed in the general election.
David was raised in Northwest Oklahoma City, attending Putnam City Schools from kindergarten through graduation. He is a fourth-generation Oklahoman whose conservative values, experience, and deep roots make him uniquely qualified to lead.
David’s path from Northwest Oklahoma City led him first to the U.S. Capitol, where he served House Speaker Dennis Hastert during 9/11. David then spent two years in the White House of President George W. Bush before returning home to Oklahoma as the state’s coordinator to re-elect the President.

David then served U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe and Lt. Governor Mary Fallin before becoming chief of staff to Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett, where he served until his election to the Oklahoma State Senate.
A longtime grassroots Republican activist, David serves on the Oklahoma County Republican Party Executive Committee and has attended two Republican National Conventions as a member of the Oklahoma delegation.
A tireless community leader, David has served on dozens of community boards, including the Putnam City Schools Foundation and the Northwest Oklahoma City Chamber. He was named "40 Under 40" by OKC Business News in 2006 and an "Achiever Under 40" by The Journal Record in 2010.

David is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City Class XXVI.
David and his wife Rachel married in 2003. They met at George Washington University, where David obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. David later obtained a Juris Doctor from the Oklahoma City University School of Law. Rachel is a former prosecutor in Oklahoma County, and they attend St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral. In December of 2009, David and Rachel welcomed their first son, George, into the world.
